Recently, CISRI (China Iron＆Steel Research Institute Group) released Steel Ranking, the technical competitiveness ranking of world’s iron＆Steel enterprises. Among Chinese enterprises, only China Baowu Group and Ansteel Groupare in the top 10. Xingtai Steel ranked 34th in the world, 16th in the nation and 3rd in Hebei province.
Xingtai Steel is a pioneer in the domestic wire rod production enterpriseswith over 70% high-tech products oftotal products. Its core technology has reached the leading level home and abroad.Xingtai Steel has received the title of “Self-innovation Enterprise”, “High-tech Enterprise” and "National Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise". In 2019, Xingtai Steel won the first prize of National Science &Technology Progress Award.
Xingtai Steel established the only wire rod engineering research center in Hebei Province,provincial enterprise technology center, post-doctoral research centerand other scientific research institutions. Xingtai Steel has 631 research personnel, including 136 doctors and masters; more than 10 experts were invited to form an expert committee to guide R&D and innovation. Xingtai Steel also has technology cooperation with Tsinghua University, University of Science and Technology and other well-known universities. Besides, annual investment in research and development reachesis more than 400 million yuan.
Xingtai Steel has developed and produced more than 600 types of steel including nearly 3,000 products, got nearly 300 patents, had 73 provincial scientific and technological achievements and won 67 provincial or municipal science and technology progress awards.
